Meet Russ, Owner of Metal Fab Co.

Russ grew up in Park City, Utah, where he ski raced through college and earned a degree in English Literature from Whitman College. After college, he ran his own residential window cleaning business for 11 years, and during winters, he built custom bamboo ski poles with Soul Poles.

In 2017, Russ spent a summer fishing on a seiner in Kodiak, Alaska, and in 2018, he earned an associate’s degree in welding from Santa Fe Community College.

His career includes experience as a welder and mechanic in industrial construction and maintenance across the West, specializing in mines and processing facilities. He’s worked on production welding for trailers and crafted custom architectural elements like handrails, restaurant shelving, and table frames.

Russ has also handled structural steel fabrication and construction, including a recent role with BluShift Aerospace, where his contributions included collaborative problem-solving and process improvement.

His marine and aluminum fabrication experience includes projects for Running Tide and Greisen Aerospace, where he fabricated components like seal cages.

Russ excels in collaborating with engineers to simplify complex designs, improve processes, and deliver finished products that meet user needs.
